About CAFE Fund

Our Mission

The mission of CAFE is to educate, engage and empower the public on issues that concern sustainability and the environment in the North Coast region of California. Among issues of principal concern are:       

  • Land use       
  • Transit planning       
  • Public energy infrastructure       
  • Building codes       
  • Water use and conservation       
  • Local economic development       
  • Social equity       
  • Local agricultural preservation       
  • Forest and wetlands protection       
  • Housing affordability

CAFE carries out its mission through a variety of focused programs, including: 

  • Hands-on workshops and public forums
  • Development and dissemination of instructional and informational materials and kits
  • Participation in community planning activities in areas of concern
  • Door-to-door contact with local residents

Annie Dobbs Kramer

Kramer graduated from University of California, Santa Cruz and was the Political Director of the North Bay Organizing Project (NBOP)

Michael Allen

Michael has had an extensive career as a registered nurse,lawyer and then labor and environmental leader right here in the North Bay.
